High school is a time of _______?
A.) Dreams B.) Nightmares C.) Hierarchical Weirdness D.) Pent Up Teenage Pettiness
Ryan doesn’t know what he thinks. Outside of being a student with creative aspirations, Ryan is just shy of average. As he navigates high school, Ryan has an odd but compelling bond with his art teacher, who starts to show him some truly disturbing work from earlier in his career. This bond quickly becomes a strange and strained thing as they learn more about one another.
"Nic Breautzman's comics are often beguiling,
sometimes disorienting, and always formally
inventive. Yearbooks is a quick sucker punch that will
leave you feeling uneasy but eager for more."--Matt
Madden, author of 99 Ways to Tell a Story: Exercises in Style, co-author of Drawing Words & Writing Pictures
"Strange, gross, and lovely, Yearbooks is just
connected enough to real high school memories to
really freak you out."--Jessica Abel, author of La Perdida, co-author of Drawing Words & Writing Pictures
